Who in the world needs 1.5 terabytes of storage? Anyone who does anything with video, that's who. For example, if you shoot a lot of 720p or 1080p footage with your camcorder, those clips gobble gigabytes like nobody's business. And if you're a Windows Media Center junkie like me, you need a lot of space to archive all your high-def TV recordings. (As soon as I can get my hands on Ceton's InfiniTV 4 CableCARD tuner, which can record up to four HD channels at once, I'm gonna need a drive this big.) The EcoGreen F2 is not the world's fastest drive, as it has a rotational speed of 5,400rpm, but it should be fine as long as the rest of your PC is reasonably powerful. I'm not entirely sure what makes this drive "eco" or "green," but Samsung does provide an impressive three-year warranty. Folks, I can remember when it was a big deal to get a 250-megabyte hard drive for $250 (yes, I've been in the computer biz a long time). A 1.5-terabyte drive for 70 bucks is just incredible.
