OAKLAND--When you must get up early to catch the plane that will fly you to several weeks of adventure, sometimes there are consequences. In my case, getting up before 5:00 a.m. in order to rush to Oakland's airport to hop a Southwest 737 to D.C., it meant fumbling through the normally simple process of making coffee. As the picture above indicates, I had a little bit of trouble with the ingredients. But spotting an opportunity, instead of quickly sweeping up the ground coffee that spilled on my foot, I snapped a photo. All joking aside, I'm sitting on a 737 waiting for the doors to close. This means that
Road Trip 2010 will soon be under way. In several hours, I fly into the nation's capital, but I'll only be there for mere minutes. I will pick up the Porsche Panamera that I'll be driving throughout the trip and head off toward Wallops Island, Va., where I'll visit a NASA facility. Much, much more lies ahead.
